  5. if you mean Gladiators? then they used to fight in an ampitheatre, the most famous being the coloseum in Rome. If you mean Gladiolas? they are flowers, they get pretty mean with the roses, so i think they fight in plant pots!

    Every decent sized town had a circus (a circular arena-hence circus, as in circle) and various forms of entertainment were performed there.
