That he lived under the rule of an evil dragon riding immortal king and when he finds a dragon egg he suddenly finds himself expected to be the one who overthrows this king.

That plus he had an Army of Urgals (Orcs) and a Shade(Dark Wizard) after him while he struggled to find the stronghod of the resistance movement known as the Varden. And his uncle was killed by two Raz'ac(bird creatures) and he has to avenge him.

Yes this guy has alot of problems.

Well he had to deal with the fact that he was bonded to a dragon and that as the last dragon rider, he needed to fight the evil king and his army because he has powers and magic just like the king.
