What was the prominent religion in England during the 19th century? Specifically in 1832-1901? I have looked in many places but can't seem to find it.

  1. xax said it correctly:  the Anglicans which broke away from the Roman Catholic Church as King Henry VIII fought against the church over divorce(he had so many wives.)

  2. Church of England, which is a form of protestant christianity.  AKA anglicanism.  Though, to an American, anglican church services are likely to appear and sound more catholic than typical protestant services in the US.
