  1. Ive never heard "save the alamo". I've only heard "Remember the Alamo".  That was the cry because Santa Ana killed everyone in the Alamo.  He spared no one because he wanted to set an example.  Davy Crockett went down there with the militia to help and ultimately sacrificed his life to help the texans gain their freedom from Mexico.
