Im not a raptors fan or anything but i was wondering why did they get jermaine o neal when they already have chris bosh

I felt that trade made no sense at all.Bosh and o neal is basically the same guy.only difference is that bosh is a lefty.

Reasons why i say they the same guy:

both jump shooters, both average the same amount of blocks and both play very similar.Bosh may be a lil better but what since did this trade make

They are gonna hurt each others game.there games is too similar

  1. Jermaine is a stronger, more physical defender and gives the Raptors what they lack, a big man inside.

Bosh is a big man, but he's more finesse-oriented and is more of a specialist on the offensive end.

By adding Jermaine, the Raptors give both of them the chance to focus on their strengths rather than fight for statistics. Bosh is still the go-to guy on offense, and O'Neal will be expected to provide shot-altering defense in the paint. If all goes well, this could be a frontcourt to be reckoned with.

  2. because they need a center

  3. tj ford and jose calderon were 2 good point guards and the raptors felt they only needed 1. they also want to make a "big three" like boston or san antonio has and they feel they have it with bosh, o'neal, and calderon.

  4. You have two, brilliant PG's in Calderon and Ford, Calderon showing more promise, why not ship one out for a try at what the Spurs used to have in the twin towers? (Duncan and Robinson)

  5. 2 Boshes are better than 1.
