I dont buy that "Hunter killed her because he needed to thin out the herd/get food" bs.

I've got it down to three posibilities..

1. Friendly Fire, due to a returning WWII vet with PTSD misfiring at her after hallucinating a German Soldier,

2. Suicide due to Postpartum Depression,

3 Suicide because her husband had been killed in the war, leaving her a widowed single mother.

We never will know, because the camera men missed the footage, and lethal shot, but what are your thoughts?

  1. Geez, how about putting "SPOILER ALERT* in there somewhere? Now you totally ruined the movie for me....

I'll go with #1. Seems a good possibility.

  2. She was killed by a city-slicker liberal who was throwing his loaded gun away in the country.

  3. It was deer hunting season and the hunter wanted to kill SOMETHING, not bothering to check whether it was male or female

  4. Bambi's mother was a w***e and it was his dad who shot her that fateful day after returning home from the pub.

  5. 1: Possibly. But I'm sure if you are familiar with the era, very few forests were as green and lush near the war-zones.

2: Do you really think she could get her little hooves around the trigger?

3: Her husband wasn't dead; he was a deadbeat dad. He adopts Bambi at the end of the film.

Have you ruled out Bambi as the killer? That poor boy was being raised a girl by his overbearing mother, it's enough to drive anyone crazy.

Or what about Thumper? Crackhead who refuses to admit he has a problem and refuses to seek counselling. He probably was so strung out he didn't know what was going on.
