  1. Looked like the right rear tie-rod broke or came loose. The wheel pivoted, rather than coming away all together, which is what tie-rod failure looks like. It's probably the same cause as Niki Lauda's accident (although the cause of that was never confirmed).

Beat me to it with trashing 3utkarsh3's "explanation", rosbif...wish he'd stop advertising his blog too, it's getting on my nerves.

  2. ya....the right suspension broke.....looking at the video it wa truly an mechanical fault....glock..didnt actually play a role in that suspension failiur....the right rear wheel(with the tyre) instantly came of as soon as he landed on the kerb afte thr soot hairpin...glock was totaly shaken after the incident...and needed support of the marshals to walk...he had an minor lower back injury too...

thanks rosbif....i watched video just once and (while watchin the race live) and today i saw the repeat telecast...and got it right....

  3. right rear suspension broke! Glad to hear he's ok and back in the car!

  4. This backs up booboo's theory, Lauda's accident 1m11s on the counter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iE97Hz4e_... The car reacts exactly the same way as for Glock's accident, and Lauda always thought the tie rod had come adrift in his crash.

    EDIT

Rear left would have sent the car to the left, 3utkarsh3...

  5. suspension failure my dear.

when the right rear wheel suspension broke, his car was out of control and smashed the concrete wall .

  6. I think he rode over the kerb to hard. As a result, the bottom of the car hit the kerb and broke his car before he went sliding to the other side of the track and hit the wall

    Edit:

Yeah...  it appears to be a right rear suspension failure. But Toyota are gonna look into that to see what exactly caused the failure

  7. To put in a easy way....

    Suspension Failure
