What was the role of a herald in the Ottoman Empire?

Question

We know that in Europe, heralds announced people, kept track of precedence, registered arms. What did they do during the Ottoman Empire? What was their badge of office? If they announced people, how did they do that? I'm planning for a heraldic procession.

I'm not sure there was such an office in the Ottoman empire, if their was it was with a different title, try google Ottoman Empire, and see what you get,  He was probably a senior Eunuch, if he exsisted at all
