What was the significance of the 1905 Russian Revolution?

hey guys could you please tell me whether or not the 1905 Russian Revolution a significant effect on the rest of the world?

Please note im talking about the 1905 Revolution which failed, stuff im looking for is things like the nationalism that occured in the revolution influenced other European nations to follow suit and revolutionise.

  2. It didn't really fail-the uprisings were supressed, but the people of Russia got a parliament out of it (the Duma) and more limits on the powers of the Tsar. It greatly encouraged the revolutionaries because it showed the government was prepared to take measures to keep the people happy, rather than crushing all opposition.
