Repeated references throughout Judges to a time when there was no king in Israel (17:6, 18:1, 19:1, and 21:25) suggest there was a king at the time of writing; therefore, the time of writing would need to be after ca. 1043 B.C. when Saul began his reign. Also, since the Jebusites were still in Jerusalem, the time of writing would need to be before David's capture of Jerusalem ca. 1004 B.C. Therefore, the date of authorship can be estimated between ca. 1043 B.C. - ca. 1004 B.C.

  5. Isreal entered Canaan approx 1406 BC THe book of Judges was written in approx 1000BC actually dates are hard to come by but the neArcheologyy Bible has some very nice insets that give good insight into different periods.
