  1. You can find it by visiting the Panama Canal website. The canal is operated by ACP. (Authoridad Canal Panama)

    Their URL is www.pancanal.com

You will have to have Adobe Flash Player installed before you get there though or none of it will open for you.

In the lower right hand corner, click English.

Then look for Financial Information and then Annual Reports.

You will see the total earnings of the canal for the past

    three years.

I hope this does it for you

  2. I think the panama Canal website isn't any good since it only goes back to 2000 (after the country of Panama took over the canal). The question was for 1998 and 1999.

The Panama Canal/Universal Measurement System (PC/UMS) is based on net tonnage, modified for Panama Canal purposes. PC/UMS is based on a mathematical formula to calculate a vessel's total volume; a PC/UMS net ton is equivalent to 100 cubic feet of capacity.

The presentation in the source lists PC/UMS and tolls in terms of PC/UMS for the years 1996-2000, Perhaps you can back out the number you need from the slides,
