What was the traffic like on the way to V festival last year?

Does anyone know what the traffic was like on the Saturday on their way to V last year. I'm going to V fest this year and I'm driving to it on the Saturday. Do you think if I aim to get to the festival for 9:30am on Saturday will the traffic be bad or not too bad??

Traffic to festivals usually is heavy, but not too bad if you know the back way.

Chelmsford or Weston?

It's not too bad, they organise it pretty well.  I have only ever driven there on a Friday (Chelmsford) as I have always camped (you have no chance of getting a decent camp plot if you go on Saturday!)Seriously!).  I would say you will be waiting in traffic near the site half hour/45 mins and you will be directed to where you need to go by the stewards.

If you are staying for the weekend, you really need to go friday morning, all the decent spots are taken as soon as the gates open, and there is usually people arriving all through the night as well pitching the tents up.  Traffic is usually really well directed though, so you shouldn't be waiting for too long.  Have fun!!
