  1. I went to Chili's with my wife (nothing else arround the area seemed opene (all there lights were off). It took only 30 minutes to be seated, but when we sat down, it took another 45 minutes before the waiter een took our drink order.

I ordered a coke, which was so watered down I may as well have ordered water, my wife's drink was completely screwed up, oh and it took about 30 minutes for it to come out.

We ordered an apetizer which never showed (I also didn't pay for it, but that's not the point). Our food took over an hour and a half, and our waiter was no where in sight.

It turns out that he took a lunchbreak and left the restaurant while we were waiting for our food and didn't have anyone cover his tables.

When he came back, he had a group of friends he knew personally, because he sat down with them and talked for another few minutes.

Finally I got so fed up, that I walked over to his table, interupted his conversation and asked for our food to go.

Well, the plates had been sitting out for quite some time, and they had to remake the order... go figure.

When it was remade, it was still cold and poorly cooked. Tired of waiting and arguing, I ate the food bc at this point i was too hungry to do anything else, and at least I had the conversation with my wife to keep me occupied.

It was awful, and when the bill came out, there was an entirely seperate dinner placed on the bill.. one that neither my wife or I had ordered or ate, so I had to wait even longer to have them change it.

I got nothing for free, or any kind of apology... at least I would think that they should have given me like some free salsa and chips for putting up with it.....

So, I left no tip when I got the bill only to have the waiter call me a cheap *** when I walked out the door.

My wife, which is normally a sweet person who yells at me for getting frustated with people, turned around and slapped him in the face.

After she exchanged a few words and the manager came out, we found out that the guy had already put in his weeks notice, and wasn't planning on working after that day. The guy offered us a free dinner voucher or something, which I ripped up and threw it out right there.

I have not eaten at any Chili's since....

By the way, we had originally wanted to go to Carabba's which was right across the street, but had its lights off, was up and runing by the time we got out.... I guess 4 hours was enough time to have them fix there electricity problem?

  2. I went to this mexican restaurant and I got the wrong order.

Had a waiter with a pouty face and attitude, so we didn't give her a tip.

My family went to Texas Roadhouse for New Year's Eve. Wasn't surprised that it was packed, but when we got our seats, the waiter kind of rushed us a little due to having alot of people to feed. Luckily, he was an enthusiastic type of person and that the food was great, so we tipped him.

  3. I was in a restaurant in Malta and when I was halfway through the bread roll I was eating I noticed a "beetle" (I didn't look too closely) had been baked into it. I never touched the bread for the rest of the holiday nor have I been back to Malta.

  4. That would be about 20 years ago.  It involved a cup of egg noodles and a cockroach at the bottom.  I've not eaten chinese food since...

  5. I took the boys out to Red Lobster we left before our food arrived. The waitress picked up our glasses for refill by sticking her fingers into the top of all 3 glasses . We were all drinking the same so how'd she know whose glass belonged to who. Then I noticed people carrying out trays of food from the back [ kichen area]up on their shoulders with their braids also resting on the trays. That was more than I could take so we left!! I don't think I'm better than anyone but would have seen all this & honestly stayed ? I think not !

  7. I was drinking a glass of tea at Perkins.

When I got to the bottom of the glass, I noticed a bug floating down with the ice.

I mentioned it to the waitress and the only thing she said was

"don't you hate when that happens?"

Another time at the same place I watched a waitress pick a scab off her arm and EAT IT!!!

    I don't eat there anymore!

  8. I really have never had a bad experience.  So , I guess I am pretty lucky.

  9. "Occurred to me"?

Well I'm sure I can "THINK" of many thing's that would make a dining experience unpleasant.

Thinking of something and having something Happen to you are two different thing's, Hun.

  10. My worst dining experience was at Shari's Restaurant (similar to Denny's and Perkins) when I've asked my waitress who just got done serving another table that if she had a moment could she get me a free refill of lemonade when she a moment and she just flat out copped an attitude at me and my face instantly turned red!

Then a couple minutes later she apologizes to me and she also had the NERVE to get in my face and tell me she doesn't like it when people are bothering her when she's helping another patron but I've waited until she was done.

  11. I was dining out at a local restaurant with my 3 kids. One was in a high chair and the others were seated beside me. It was fish buffet and my husband was up at the buffet. We did not eat out much and I was really afraid my kids would act up. I had picked up a shrimp and had it in my hand while I was instructing my kids on etiquette and behavior when my fingers slipped and the shrimp shot out of my hand and launched behind me. I was so embarrassed that I could not even look. I asked my oldest daughter if it hit anyone. She said no.
