  1. Probably the Japanese Arisaka Rifle

  2. Others have claimed the Japanese and Russian weapons to be the worst, however that may not be so (I'm not an expert of an weapon, just stating pros/cons of them). The Japanese used a lower caliber round than any other country, allowing the soldiers to pack more ammo and have a lower recoil (which was a factor with bolt action rifles). However, the smaller size reduced accuracy and range. Also, the rifle was used by a poorly trained and equipped Japanese army (they focused more on the navy). I don't know too much about the moisant-naggant (I know the spelling's off), but it was told to be reliable and accurate (I think the man with the most confirmed kills in history primarily used this gun [he was a Polish sniper]), although maybe inferior to the German K-98, British Lee-Enfield, or American Springfield. Probably the "worst" rifle was a Yugoslavian or Italian version of Mouser's (Germany) design. These are the types of rifles you see in Big 5 for $50. Noticed that Allied and German weapons are much more expensive.

  3. Yeah, although I read the Mosin-Nagnant was from 1890-something, which makes it outdated. And it's bolt-action, but so were alot of the others. I don't know, since the US had the only semi-auto rifle I know of right now, I'd say tie between all the bolt-action ones, which could be outshot.

  4. If I had to guess, I'd say the Japanese rifle. Their weapons were generally of poor quality and design. But if you include weapons built by the minor powers, the Japanese may have some competition for worst.
