that happened to you while you were a bridesmaid? I was a MOH this past Saturday and one of the bridesmaids burned the side of my face with a curling iron-right before the ceremony! I've been putting aloe vera and Mederma on it, hoping it won't scar up. Has anything like this ever happened to you?

  1. When I was the maid of honor for my best friend, she decided to take all of her girly friends to a spa. She asked me if it would be okay if she could surprise me with a new hair color and hair cut. I said yes of course so I wouldn't hurt her feelings, but I told her not to change the color drastically. Well, we had one hour before the wedding, and after the hair stylist was finished blowing and styling my hair, I finally got to look. Well I hated it!!! It was purple and red and awful! My friend even said she hated it :( So that is how her wedding pictures turned out. Completely awful in color.(Another bride's maid had her hair turn out orange. This was supposed to be a high-end salon!)  I really hope she only prints them in black and white! Haha!

  2. I've only been a bridesmaid once and that was for my sisters wedding.  The only bad thing that happened to me was that the zipper on my dress gave out.  Thankfully it was at the end of the evening while we were waiting for our cab.

  3. Worst thing? I was an old, close friend from middle school (I was MOH) and the other girls were friends from college (I went out of state). All their boyfriends and friends were friends... I was completely ignored... and my fiance was not allowed to any of the events because he was not directly friends with the bride or groom. That was the worst.

  4. last year when i just 17 i was bridesmaid for my older 22 year old friend.

she picked out these long, flowing gowns for us to wear which already made me uncomfortable because i'm 5'2 it looked way too long for me, and because i'm a huge spaz and i knew i could potentially trip.

well, guess what? i tripped and ripped the dress in the back. not many saw the rip at the time but i noticed it while taking pictures. fell on my face had a few bruises because it was on wood.

    it sucked.

  5. I've had pretty good luck as a bridesmaid but at my college roommate's wedding the dresses were pretty low cut so the bride bought a special double-sided tape that would keep the dress stuck to the skin on the chest. Yeah . . . it stuck to the skin with super gluelike adhesive so anytime I moved all night, it was ripping my skin from my body. The worst was when I had to dance with a groomsman that was at least 6'4" and I'm 5'4" I thought I was going to cry I was in so much pain!
