What was up with the phoney Man City HAS signed Berbatov reports?

I read it just before I went to bed, then when I awoke it was Man Utd had signed Berbatov. I thought I had halucinated or something. I don't recall having seen such blatant b/s in the media for a while, how dare they? How can they get away with it? I don't think the "oh we made a typo" excuse will cut it.

City did make an offer for Berba and Tottenham accepted. Maybe that is what you read. Anyways Berba rejected Man City's offer and joined Man utd as you know. So maybe you just miss read.

One of the other posts on here had something about a link that said City had berbatov, I think either they preemptively posted or it was a fake report trying to f with people

That's pretty bad, I know it's espn but whoever the reporter was should get slapped upside the head. It wouldn't surprise me if they thought nobody would remember if they got rid of the link

Not true at all. Man United got their man. City made a 30 million bid and just for United to make sure that Berbatov won't go there for the money we made a 30.75 million bid and just to soften the blow for Spurs we sent Campbell there for a year long loan. Now Berbatov gets everything he wants CL footie and Cash!

City plunged into the market just to let everyone know that they got very rich. So they decided to play their hands on anything and everything in the market. Fortunately Berba did not fall while Robinho came because of the frustration. I'll bet that he will go to Chelsea nxt season.
