Gene Keidel's wife DiAnne disappeared in September of 1966. Two of his four children were killed in a house fire. In 1993 (nearly 3 decades later), Keidel's daughter Lori uncovers a dark violent family secret from her childhood years. When Lori was 5, watched her father beat her mother into submission and buried her body in the backyard (not knowing that he killed her and disposed of her body). Months after her mother disappeared, her two older sisters (ages 12 and 8) died in the house fire, and that her older brother (age 9) also survived as well as she. She learns that mother and her two sisters were murdered, and that her father was responsible for their deaths. Her father became a killer.
Was it the failing marriage (as a result of his wife having an affair) that drove him to madness? Or was he a philander and psychopath?
