What was wrong with the 2004 Athens olympics games?????????

People keep saying it was a huge bust. What was wrong with it?

The games were amazing but everyone is making a huge deal that the Olympic stadium is not being used for anything  today. It's supposedly filled with "rats and Gypsies".

The G.O.C. didn't really make a plan of what to do with the Venues after the olympics.

Not only the problem with the buildings, but the government spent gobs of money on the event and didn't even come close to breaking even.  They're pretty much left in the hole, that caused an economic slump after the games.  This is why there was such a great outrage by the Greek citizens.

It's about Athen's olympic stadiums how they are now abandoned even though the Greek goverment spent billions on them. Apparently gypsies and rats now live in them...
