ok, this is just an opinion question, there is no right/wrong answer, all i ask is that you answer in a polite way (no bashing or harsh words please!) BUT... what wedding planning book or software have you found to be the best and most usefull for you, i am in the PA area, and do not want to hire a wedding planner, we have a consultant, but that's just for the reception. but which book/software/website have you found to be the best singularly or combined and why?

  1. I got free wedding planners from J.C. Penney and my local newspaper, but I think the best advice I got was from a book I got at my local library, sorry I don't remember the name, but I also got the latest bridal mags there for free. Good Luck.

  2. theknot.com

  3. knot.com

    wedding magazines

    wedding channel.com

    other brides

    other planners

    tv weddings

anything you can get your hands on really can be used as a basic yes or no to what you want!

  4. This will probably sound so cliche but I found the Martha Stewart website the most helpful. It give's you step by step list of things you need to do. Also you can find her wedding planning book at Wal-Mart or Barnes and Noble. I'm getting married in Oct. and this book was exactly what I used to plan my own wedding of 250 people. Hope this helps.

  5. theknot.com...and I also have a binder with tabs in it to help keep all of my things organized. And I also have a calender.

  6. www.theknot.com

  7. www.brides.com is good as well as www.theknot.com

    Good Luck!!

  11. My mom purchased a book for me on planning weddings and there are many out there that have budget spreadsheets and recommended timelines.  It all depends on what kind of wedding you plan on having.  I did find www.theknot.com very helpful in planning my wedding.  There are tons of ideas and brides post their ideas/tips and even pictures of their weddings.  That was my most helpful resource.

  12. When I got married I went on theknot.com and now I'm helping plan my friends wedding and I'm once again using the site. IT helps keep you organized and knowing what you need to do when. Also, your friends and family can help as well.

  13. I'm not gonna use a planner or consultant for my wedding. I'm gonna use my mom. :P
