Mine was being kidnapped. When I was 7, I was almost kidnapped by a Ted Bundy look-alike. Swear to God! It wasn't Ted though...he was already in prison.

Now it's being chased. Even if it's just in fun. I lay on the ground, curl up in the fetal position, and freak out kicking, slapping, and screaming.

  1. hamburgers

  2. My irrational fear as a child was that the toilet bowl might eat me up while I was doing "personal business".

Now, my irrational fear, is having my mind read by Them and being taken up to their mother ship...as a test subject.

Nyah, my irrational fear is fear itself...

  3. getting murdered and when they found me no one would recognizes me... so i was forever jane doe.....and my family wont care if i was dead or not <but it just a fear>

  4. Swallowing pills. I almost choked to death on one as a child, and I still can't do it, as an adult. And now it is very difficult to get doctors to understand my predicament.

  5. As a child I was always told to beware of 'strangers', I always thought the 'nasty' man would be oldish, quite nasty looking & wearing a raincoat ! even gave me nightmares!  Now I know most dangerous types are young & normal looking, even women!

I was also very shy and quite naive.

As an adult, I mostly fear serious illness, losing a loved one too soon and accidents causing death or vegetable status.

Then & now I still fear the dentist!

  6. I don't like it when small things chase me. Little kids, small dogs, etc. Oh, and movies make it worse. Things like Chuckie, or the Leprechaun make me squirm in my seat.. Omg...... =/

  7. I've always had an irrational fear of porcelain dolls.

It's never gone away, even though I know how irrational and plain stupid it is now, I just can't shake it.

  8. Ok I know you will laugh but I'm deadly serious when I say that I am scared of drains. Not just any though. The ones on the bottoms of pools. And the air jets in spas. Oh and add underwater lights, pipes etc to that list. Ugh. I can't go near them, touch them, or look at them when I'm swimming.

The drains in small sinks don't bother me but showers, baths and toilets weird me out, especially the sound of the toilet flushing or the bath being drained.
