What was your favorite Nascar season?

I have to say 2003 but 2004 and 2005 were some of the best years also.

  6. I like the 2002 season when Bill Elliott won the Pennsylvania 500 and the Brickyard 400 back-to-back even if he didn't get the championship.

    just my opinion..actually best year for me was  1978 when Dale Sr won Rookie of the Year

  13. 1998 because we got out and went to a ton of races, mostly dirt and the Spring Bristol race that Jeff Gordon won.

  14. I would have to say 2005 because that was the year I started liking NASCAR and it was also the year that my man Tony won his second championship!

  15. 2000 was one of mine, I remember thinking Dale Sr is going to take the championship in 01.  I was so excited and couldn't wait for the season to start.  He made such a good run that year and we came pretty d**n close to getting that 8th championship.  I havent felt that excitement since then.

  16. 2005 Carl Edwards got his first Cup win and he finished 3rd in points! This year ain't been to bad either! 2003 was a good season too Matt Kenseth won the Championship!

  18. 2002, because Mark Martin had a hech of a year and outperformed the whole field virtually the entire season. He just couldn't secure that elusive championship. Oh, well. No use living in the past.

  19. 2005 was bittersweet for me. Rusty retired but he did make the chase and gave'em heck his last year. But 1989 was pretty dang cool.

    Championships should be determined by all 36 races.
