What was your favorite activity in your middle school science class?

I want to know what you guys remember from your middle school days, particularly your science class! What activities and labs do you remember doing?

I've taught MS science for about 20 years.  I have a bunch of projects and activities on my website.  Kids have enjoyed most of these

Our teacher was doing a demo and she mixed these chemicals and it exploded. I was in 7th grade at the time.

We had to studie mealworms. It was really gross at first but then we got to build little mazes out of lego's and clay. It was really fun. I was in 6th grade. Hope your class was fun!

i thought Space,Friction, Planets, and how Ecosystem worked was CoOl. i also thought genetics were awesome!

i liked science because i had an awesome teachers!

MIDDLE SCHOOL IS REALLY FUN! SO YOU DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT. SCIENCE CLASS OR MATH CLASS, IT'LL BE JUST A PIECE OF CAKE.

7th grade

we disected some animals:

sharks, grasshoppers, flowers, fish, frog.

some classes disected cow eye balls. !! :p

and in my class, we got to walk around the classroom,

if we have free time and carry and pet the animals:

snakes, turtles, monitor lizard, bearded dragon

ITS REALLY SO MUCH FUN!!

8th grade

8th grade didnt really deal w/ animals,

more like chemicals

we burned SUGAR and we had to observe what happend

mix chemicals

my teacher put a boiled egg on top of a water container,

but first he put a burning piece of paper inside

to make it HOT

then the egg EXPLODED!! :D

we used the BURNER

we made stuff.

like something we called SLIME :p

and something that's like CLAY but slipperier :)

ITS THE BEST EVER!!
