What was your favorite toy from when you were a kid?

What was it and why was it your fave? If you can't get them anymore when did they vanish?

Don't you love how kids think some toys are new and original like barbies, care bears and teenage mutant ninga turtles!

Full size GI Joe Action Figures (not dolls) and the real metal Tonka Trucks.

The GI Joes might still be around, but the Tonka trucks changed to plastic.

I saved some of my orig Tonka Trucks, but my kids didn't get into them as much as I did.

Lego's also would make the list.

hmmmm i had a few...but i used to love these little dogs that smelled like perfume and were kinda like my little pony but dogs with long hair and a little print on their butt. They vanished when i was about 10.

my favourite was my child's they were soft clothed dolls i had 2 you got a certificate when you got them to say you adopted them. haven't seen them in years i still got them gave them to my daughter also gave her my care bear she has her own 2.

I didn't play with a lot of toys, I preferred books. But I did like my Toni doll. It was a doll that you could give a Toni perm to. I don't think that they even make Toni home perms anymore, and I haven't seen or heard of a Toni doll in many years.

my verry first teddy from when i was only 1 mont old. believe it or not i still have that bear.well i like the memories of being that tall at one month old and playing house with her

Barbies!! Had the Barbie sports car and canopy bed with the dressers and the little phone! Tons of Barbie clothes. Even had Barbie's little sister Skipper with the brown hair. All passed down to my daughter. Ahhhhhh the memories! lol Thanks gr8 question!!

Red Ryder Daisey BB gun.  'You will shoot your eye out!', but I never did.  

Bike, a Schwinn Corvette with 26 inch tires, pre banana seat era.

Cherry Bombs and M1 firecrackers.

Balsa wood glider airplanes, my favorite glider had spring loaded fold back wings and you launched it with a rubber band on a stick.  Haven't seen one in many years.

Toy cars that were powered by a CO2 cartridge.

Cap pistols that had rolls of caps.

Stilts.

Dad's good flashlight.

A big Doll , that i could sit in a chair

she had beautiful porcelain skin

and lightly blushed cheeks, beautiful

dress and curly short hair to the head

kind of wavy. gorgeous big eyes that

moved and closed with big lashes

and she said mamama  mamma when tipped

back in your arms!

Still am  kid and I luv Bratz, yes I know some ppl cut down on them but I don't care, it's not how the doll looks, it's how you play w/ them

I don't have a single favorite to mention. Too many of them. Most of my childhood was in the '80s. It's not really a toy, but one of my favorites was this tent that was designed to go over the bed. When I received it, I slept in it every night until I was early 14. Then when it came time to move across town, my mother made me toss it because not wanting so much junk at the new house. The thing was, it was not junk, the tent. It was a Pound Puppy tent. I'm not sure when they stopped making it. I can't even remember how old I was when I received it. I was no younger than 9 because my brother was out of high school and in service then. I believe I was 10 when I got it. Now that I remember...

I dunno when they discontinued.

Another of mine which they exist today, Lego. Yeah, I still like playing with them! lol! But I don't have the same ones from when I was 11.
