1989.....no doubt.  That was the best year for NWA....Flair and Steamboat topped the year with their three Hall of Fame matches before June.....Sting was a rising star and then the Road Warriors and other people were doing well....

Then Vince put his top two stars, Savage and Hogan in the ring....but that was still not enough to lure the fans away from the NWA feuds.

1999 (too bad i won't watching then, i started in jan. of 01 when i was 7). it was the best back then b/c the storylines were awesome and the characters were awesome and it wasn't a kid show and there was no cena (who makes it a kid show). it was the best year in the wwf history in my opinion. my favorite match of that year was rock and austin at wm 15 (what a great match by 2 legends). miss the old days.

1998 because wcw was still doing great but the wwf started its attitude era and those two companys were doing extremely well so the compatistion was strong and all the storry lines were great you had sting vs hogan you had stone cold steve austin vs Vince and the nWo was still fresh and not warn out.

1997 during the pinnacle of the Monday Night Wars. Sting stalking the nWo. Stone Cold giving Vince the finger and doing what he pleases. No year can top 1997.
