School dinner....what made your school day .....when you saw it being served

i loved it when they servered chicken nuggets with fries and chocolate cream pie but that was in elementry all other scools i loved their cheeseburgers with a baked potatoe with bacon cheese on it

i loved the desert that was made from some sort of custard/cream and cornflakes and manchester tart comes a close second

The best day at school was Tuesdays because we didnt have to eat the school food. The PTA sold Taco Bell. But the school did have great pizzas.

Flicking custard on the dinner ladies. There was this one dinner lady called Miss Kapewell. I really wanted punch her in the face. Wicked old bat.

I always enjoyed them serving pizza. I know a lot of school served pizza way too often, but our school hardly ever served it! :)

I was in getting the cane from head master most of the time,

but really enjoyed a pint of Guinness from the pub next door.

I loved seeing Chicken Drumsticks on the menu! mmm so juicy and yummy! Also loved sweetcorn, though there was an unfortunate incident with a batch that was overcooked and it put me off it for years - but I am back to loving it again.

Another memory of school dinners was at Christmas - used to hate brussels sprouts - until my friend Jan & I sat one day with a serving of them and swallowed them hole - one by one! Now I love them !
