Mine was Windows 3.1 way back in 1992 !

  2. First introduced to 3.1 but the actual first system i owned has to be  Windows 95

  7. This is a great question! My first operating system was Windows 95. However, I was first introduced to MS DOS. In fact, my dad still has his old computer that is pure MS DOS, and you can't forget those wonderful HUGE floppy disks! And it still works! Computers sure have come a LONG way since then, and when you think about it, it wasn't that long ago. Now days, programing has never been easier. With GUI's and Virtual machines, to save your computer from its death, have made our world a better place.

    I just wish I knew about Linux sooner. =)

  8. First was the system on the Commodore 64!  Then Workbench on the Amiga 500.

  9. Mine was Microsoft Windows 95, I remember that was the best available option for Home users.1995 to 1997

  10. Good Day.... I think you have mistaken windows 3.1 as your first operating system....you cannot run windows 3.1 on your PC without Dos operating system....Thanks in reminding me.....
