  1. Just relax when I had my first driving lesson I was nervous also.  The thing was my parents didn't take me driving I took drivers ed so I had to learn with an instructor not exactly a bad thing.  But I remember I said I'm not going to be able to drive and the instructor or teacher said well see just try, and here I am today driving.  So my tips for you are stay calm, listen to your dad, if something bothers you let him know and you two can figure out a way around it.  And above all pay attention, don't slam on the gas or the brakes, take your time doing your turns, make sure you do hand over hand turns also,  make sure you don't get nervous, watch what other people are doing so you do have an accident.  Good luck hope all goes well and as long as you pay attention and try you can't go wrong driving is very easy its just learning how to do it and passing the test.

  2. dont be nervous

    its your dad !!!

just be carefull and listen to what he says

haha and dont speed up to much i did

    xD

never got into an accident but my mom almost **** her pants i think haha but yeah it was fun just try to listen and focus on what he says how u should do it and you'll be fine !!!

    good luck

    and ENJOY!

  3. You'll love it. Just do what he says and you'll be fine. He has the experience, and whether you agree with him or not, trust him.

However, since you asked what my first driving experience was like, I'll tell you. I was twelve, and we were vacationing in the north woods near Vanderbilt, Michigan. My dad let me drive on those path-like dirt roads, since there was virtually no other traffic.

One of the first things he told me was to put the clutch in when you brake.

I was driving down one of the dirt roads, and we started to go down a hill, with a sharp turn to the left at the bottom of it. There were no guard rails, despite a steep drop-off. I remembered what my dad said as we went down the hill, picking up speed. I pushed the clutch all the way in.

Trouble is, I forgot about the brake. My dad was a very mild-mannered person, but he totally lost it at that moment. He grabbed the wheel and managed to keep the car safely on the road, and we didn't plunge over the cliff. I will never forget it.

Like I said, do what your dad says - but remember to do ALL of it. Good luck.

  4. Relax.  Hopefully this is in a large parking lot.  That's how it was for me when I was 14.  Then I used to drive my paper routes on the weekends because it was early mornings and I knew most traffic laws then.  But all I got to say is, just relax, ask questions.  And PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE.

  5. I just drove for the first time today, it wasn't really scary, I thought that I was doing okay, but when I ulled over, the guy who was behind me pulled over too because he thought I was drunk, I guess it went worse then I thought.

  6. well i remember it wasnt that scary driveing with my mom for the first time. even though i almost ran into a poll lol. but when you are in drivers ed it is alot more scary so i suggest you practice alot with your parents before you have to go to drivers ed

  7. Just relax and enjoy it, think of it as normal as sitting next to your dad when he's driving. Remember, all you have to do is join millions of people who drive everyday. Its not rocket science.
