  1. The first time I stepped into a casino, I was about 15. Our parents took them with us to Vegas, and we spent the entire time playing in the arcade and midway at at Excaliber.

The first time I came to Vegas after I was 21 I had a lot of fun. I learned to play blackjack perfectly before I came, brought about $300, and went home with $700 playing at $5 tables.

Nobody cares how you dress at the casino. You can wear pink shorts, a Hawaiian shirt and a clown wig if you want. I've seen people in $1000 suits and $300 shoes playing $5 a hand, and people that looked like total scrubs playing with stacks of black ($100) chips.

  2. My first visit to a casino was Harrah's in Atlantic City...I was hooked!  I couldn't wait to go to Vegas (slightly younger crowd, not by much though!)

I spend about $50 to $75 on slot machines each day of our 4 day trip. Only spend what you're comfortable with...do not count on making that money back!

I didn't interact much with the employees until I learned to play table games.  I don't remember any being rude or anything.  If you do hit some sort of big win or jackpot, make sure you tip the person who awards you your money.

You'll be fine in the outfit you mentioned.  There's no dress code, just be comfortable.  You'll find all walks of life in a casino.

    Best of luck to you!
