What was your most memorable League Match or Tournament Match? GOOD or BAD?

Mine was a County play off it went to the wire tied up at 2-2. The opposing team had been committing several poor sportsmanship offenses. The last match was our 7 verses their 6 who thought and acted like he was the PRO UNDER COVER. Our 7 one was a good ole Irish boy 100% and had several drinks coming up to his match. I don’t really know to this day what exactly set Mr. O’Brien off but it was quite obvious he was to keep it clean “irritated”. He ran his balls then shot defense on the eight ball? As Captain I couldn’t help but raise my eye brows, there was no reason for the defense. I would soon find out Dennis had decided to humiliate this guy and humiliate him he did! He had this guy shot 49 innings on the 8 ball alone. Those that have scored an APA match knows the little square provided doesn’t accommodate that many marks. It nearly got out of hand and I finally convinced my player to end this toying so he pocketed the 8. The other player actually protested the match to no avail other then to put the humiliation he received as “Topic of the Play offs” and the win was ruled legal. I’d like to hear your stories as well.

There are a lot of good stories out there about pool,

I like so many, that I wouldn't know where to begin.

One time we were shooting this team, and I was last,  

We were down by 1 poit, and losing it would have been by three points, eight counts as 2.

I was up to shoot going for the eight, but left myself next to his 2 ball, towards the front of the side pocket.

His 2 ball was in the way, but if I hit it perfect, it was a cross side shot. Que was behind line to the left  10 in from center.

I looked at it, got down, and stroked, and shot, little English to keep Que out of corner, shot it with authority, had to be perfect and it was. you didn't even see it go in that side, it was so smooth. one of my favorite shots is a cross side, from any angle, I would even go cross side from the length, if there was no other shot..The first guy that came to me was my opponent, and all my team. It had to be a 1000 $ shot, for glory. for the team!! .

Cant rem the yr but went up down & out and never lost a rack 5&0 every set-Problem was 4 team members that didnt win 1.I told them Da--Guys anybody can have a bad day but did you all have to pick the same day

mine was a pool tourment two years ago at a local pool hall twenty five players double elemation nine ball race to seven went to the looser side first match had two players that were sevens in apa and three sixes we also had a drowing if your name was drown you got a chance to break and run you won 75 bucks I was realy playing above my head because I won the break and run and the tourment which paid 100.00 I am only a four once in a lifetime I got realy lucky
