What was your opinion of Tressel as a coach in 2005

After the 2005 season, he has 3 top 5 finishes in his first 5 seasons, with one championship, a 4-1 record in bowl games, and a 3-0 record in BCS games. Now he is 4-3 in bowls, 3-2 in BCS bowls, with 5 top finishes in 7 years as coach.

He was the best coach in the game back then and if you get there you should be proud. And the refs fixed the last championshp game.

To answer the question no my opinion has not changed regarding Tressel as a coach. The bottom line is you have to get to the championship game to win one. His team ran into better teams back to back years. Look at the recruiting this guy has done, he re-established the program at Ohio State. Year after year he wins and produces a very high number of NFL players.
