I thought it was great. We didn't know who was going to win until that final TT. I'm glad such a dignified, deserving man won it.

Apart from **** Ricco - This year has been relatively scandal free.

  1. My thoughts exactly! ; )

  2. We saw Mark Cavendish win four stages. CLEAN

We saw Stefan Schumacher win both Time Trials and go for consecutve mountain breakaways. CLEAN

And we saw a deserved winner in Carlos Sastre who won the Alpe d'Huez stage. CLEAN

I'd nearly forgotten about Ricco until you metioned him so in my mind the great cycling outweighed the doping scandals for the first time in the last three years. Vive Le Tour.

  3. It has been great, a shame Cadel didn't win though just to tired and no team support- but Sastre is a worthy winner.  Some great cyclists to look out for at next years TDF.

  4. Much better than we could have hoped, given the occurrences in the last two years.

The race overall was a good one, with some good young talent coming to the fore.

I am excited about the Schlek brothers, especially Andrew, and as for Mark Cavendish, he is going to be a big, big star.

And I am also glad that the limpet like Cadel Evans didn't win.

Well done to Carlos Sastre, who was the best rider on the Tour this year, and a very deserved winner.

  5. The scandals last year tainted cycling's image and it'll be some time before I'm fully convinced that the sport has cleaned up its act.
