  1. BSU showed the best performance. Their games are so fun to watch!!! i would have to say Michigan put up a pretty suckish job against Utah...

  2. i always judge it by the enthusiasm of the guys bursting through the paper burst at the start

if they look pumped up they are more likely to win.

  3. collage football is my favorite thing to watch

    i hate the first week

its a bunch of power houses playing no bodys

lol ask the 07 michigan team about it

  4. GO UGA BULLDOGS!!

    SICK EM....

    THEY ARE NUMBER ONE!

  5. I realized the Clemson let me down big time.  I had high hopes for them this year and they just looked awful out there yesterday.

Pitt is not a good team either.  I am looking for my hometown UB Bulls to beat them next week too.

  6. S.E.C. RULES!!!!!

    GO BAMA!!!!!

  7. Looks like Idaho is in for another rough year....70-0 against Arizona??

  8. Its difficult to judge because these first week matchups are usually so bogus, you know -- Georgia vs.  Georgia  Southern or UT vs. Florida Atlantic, that sort of thing.  The Michigan-Utah matchup was interesting.  Rich Rodriguez was a bad fit for UM, imo.

  9. Idaho had a terrible preformance. Arizona had a great one. Colt McCoy had great numbers. He went like 22-25 202 yards 3 TD 13 rushes for 122 yards and 1 TD rush.

  10. My take was that schemes without great players don't win you games (Michigan found that out), that Texas A&M should be ashamed of themselves (for losing to an FCS school), and teams like Ohio State should consider playing only their backups against cupcake teams in week 1 (or not play cupcakes at all - losing Beanie Wells while playing against Youngstown State was smart, wasn't it?)

My final take on yesterday's games was this:  The NCAA needs to quit ranking teams before they've even played a game.  Obviously Pitt and Va Tech aren't nearly as good as they were ranked before they played anyone.  The best team NEVER loses - otherwise why keep score?  The fact that BGSU and East Carolina beat two "ranked" teams wasn't shocking to me because rankings before week 1 mean nothing.

  11. all i know is ole miss is going to a bowl game

  12. Roll Tide!  I was really impressed by Julio Jones. We had some awesome freshmen on the field.

Being a good sport and kudos to Clemson's CJ Spiller for the 96 yard kickoff return TD. Awesome football!

  13. The start of the college football season for 2008 was I think great. You had your dominate power houses win LSU, Fla, USC, Ohio State and Georgia of course. You had a possible BCS game in Missouri and Illinois. The high expectations with Clemson and Alabama game. You had the upset games with Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech.

Best player: Chase Daniels making his early case for the Heisman.

Worst player: Cullen Harper was suppose to be the key to victory for the Clemson Tigers.

Best Team: Anyone ranked between 1-7 made a statement.

Worst Team: Virginia Tech what happen? This was suppose to be an easy game for you not the top upset of the weekend.

Most underrated player: Moreno of Georgia. (8 carries for 58 yds and 3TDs) wow what a performance, not! Yah Tds do matter when your running for the Heisman but yds do as well, especially if your a running back.

  14. USC men among boys
