I have to agree with Joe Madden in thinking that the call was out of line, in no way do I think that Upton attempted to get to 2nd base. What do you guys think?

  1. One of the worst calls of all time.

  2. One of the worst calls i've ever seen, almost as bad as the one during the royals/ cardinals world series

  3. I think a lot of guys called out for a B.J. last night.

  4. i'm an angel fan and i was even confused! I didn't see him turning at all. Interesting things have been happening this series. XP

hope we don't get swept :(

p.s. man y'all are tough to beat, i don't understand those who think the rays are not going to win al east..

  5. He made a motion toward second base if you watch the video closely as he crossed the base.  That's all it takes for an umpire to adjudge that there was attempted movement toward second base.

  6. I just watched the play rite now, since it wasnt up yesturday for highlights and heres may take.

I did see a flinch on Upton's part.  I think Upton noticed that the ball got away from Santana and made a very minor flinch towards second base.  But I still dont think that that was enough to call Upton out.

  7. that was a pretty messed up call.and im an angels fan.he didnt even look at second base

  8. as the great carl yaskremski said once

"that guy was the 2nd best umpire in the leadgue

the other 30 are tied for 1st

  9. Please "Andrew C" don't bring up the I-70 World Series to someone born in the state of Missouri raised on the Cardinals!  But I agree, it was one of the worst calls I have seen in a long, long time.
