got tangled in seaweed somehow nd a huge wave came nd flipped me 180 into a rock...... still have the scars...so does my poor board... oh well we lived!

I was riding without a leash on my twinnie.  It was maybe shoulder high, but really walled up.  I thought nothing of it, until this super kook just sat there with his foam board parallel to the wave while I was already making a bottom turn.  He got tossed, his board tripped up my legs, and I ended up leash-less in a rip current.  I was exhausted from surfing for hours already, so the paddle back to shore was horribly long.  Luckily, no one was seriously hurt.  He just had a "ding" on his face from my board, but luckily my board only had a little ding that I fixed on my own.  It just ruined my day.

worst experience ever, i was in australia riding the waves and the were kinda rough at the time and there must have been something sharp or something cuz as soon as i found a wave i realized my bikini top was cut, no joke actually happened

I had my board shorts ripped down to my ankles duck diving hurricane swell.

15ft surf....My board was a 6'5.   (Oh...my ...god)

I asked a guy if it was dangerous he said yeah if you come too close to these rocks it's pretty leathal.

Never would have thought he was literal.

I never go out over 8ft now. Ever.
