What water exercises should i do in the pool, I'm pregnant?

what is best? water aerobics? or which strokes. i haven't swam in along time but i want to start swimming during my pregnancy. which exercises can i do? what did you do? do i need a snorkel, is it bad to hold my breath under water? is a doggy paddle good too, is egg beating good??? i used to be on a synchronize swim team as a teenager so i am a pretty good swimmer I'm just scared to over exert myself since i haven't done a pool exercise in a couple years?

  1. Breast stroke is probably the best and not as hard working and easier done holding your head over water which is even better.


  2. Try water aerobics, I havent done it, but I`ve heard that it is really good if you`re pregnant. I also know that you can pretty much do any stroke. You should just stop BEFORE you feel you are over doing it.

  3. i do aquafit classes and they are fantstic!! i highly recommend them...did that with my first pregnancy and i know it contributed to a non-medicated pregnancy!! i am doing them now with this, our second pregnancy...i am 35 weeks pregnant, i feel great...loads of energy, not much aches and pains!! go for the aquafit, i think that you would realy enjoy it!!
