  1. I think its fine i use bottled water and i do microwave it for a few sec.i know that is a big no no but there is no way my baby would wait for a cold bottle to get warm in a cup of hot water. but anyway my doc said bottled water was fine and if you boil the tap water then thats ok . my doc suggested that if i continued with bottle water to start using the nursery  water at about 9 months old for the fluoride. i have one daughter that is 4 and so far shes been ok lol and i also have a 7 weeks old

  2. Well I am on my third baby right now and I know that you are thinking that I am just lazy but I REALLY don't believe in heating a baby's bottle...in the hospital they don't do it so why should you have to....room temp water is JUST fine...  What I do is go and by the "nursery water" jugs at the store...I just keep it on the counter and my baby LOVES his bottles believe me!  I promise you that your baby will be fine with it and you have enough to worry about...

And I will admit for my first...I tried the warm water (boiling thing) and it just got to be too much and my oldest is now 7 and a very healthy kid!

  3. I used bottled water until my baby was a year. The infant water.

  4. I wouldn't be hard on you. Everyone has to learn. I was told that babies can only have cool boiled water. Never tap water or bottled water. From reading your question I gather your having a problem regulating the temperature of your baby's bottle. What my midwife told me to do was to boil the kettle (always use fresh water, never use water that has already been boiled) and let it cool for 40 minutes. She then told me to make up a few bottles at a time with the WATER ONLY and leave them to stand. Don't refrigerate as it's only water and will stay fresh. When you are ready to feed your baby just add the formula. If you want to can warm the bottle at this stage by standing in a jug of hot water but as my midwives pointed out, it is fine to give babies milk at room temperature and that is what it will be. Also it saves time and that is key in the middle of the night when your baby is crying. And there you go, fresh milk made in 30 seconds flat.

  5. my mom uses this water called nursery, it's a special, fluoride treated water, perfect for babies and warms in up in a bottle warmer or in warm water (all of this is after you mix it), (some times hot) in a large cup and have it set, hope this helps, and, congratulations on your first baby!!!

  6. I used tap water. My baby was fine with that.  No problems

  7. my doc said to boil all water for baby's formula unti lshe had her tetanus shots

  8. we all survived somehow i used tap and bottled and nursry water sometimes i boiled it but it didnt last long to much time and effort and my boy is just fine

  9. I buy distilled water, which is what the whole family drinks.  Our tap water is so horrid tasting.  You can really use anything you want.

  10. Well I think you are on the right track.  But you are adding a couple extra steps you dont need.  If you are using bottled water already it should be filtered, so just put it in the bottle and heat it using a pot of water on the stove.  No need to add boiling water to already filtered water.  Another option is to get a filter to put on your sink faucet...this is amazing!  Its what I use.  All you have to do then is wait for the filtered water to get hot out of the faucet and voila!

  11. When my kids were on formula I would buy nursery water and put the nursery water in a bottle and put it in the microwave for a few seconds just to warm it a bit then put the formula in. Never put the formula in the microwave just the plain water.
