What water temerature is needed to sustain a strong hurricane??

Is there any ideas how to lower this temerature???

  1. Your normally need a water temperature of at least 80 degrees to sustain a hurricane, and likely in the mid 80's to sustain a strong hurricane.  That water temperature also needs to exist in a rather deep layer as well.  The very large amount of water that exhibits this temperature over the tropics is such that there is no feasible way to cool it artificially.




  2. A minimum of 26.5 degree celsius is required;It is not posible to lower this value as a vast area of the water surface is involved.
