  1. Try Exo-Terra Sun Glo 100W tight beam.  Most pet stores carry this brand.  It's in an orange and black box.  The tight beam gets the hottest, I find.  You could also try the 125W, it'll get hotter and if you need to, you can move the bulb away from the basking spot to adjust the temperature.

  2. We know the tank, and what you're trying to reach, but we don't know how cold it is outside of the tank, so it's not possible to answer this.  Relative air humidity state to country varies, and also affects wattage/heat output.

You need a good digital probe or Infrared thermometer gun to measure the output of a bulb or UTH pad in a tank/enclosure.  Guessing is just that.

Heating will depend on the housing, distance of the heat source, the room surrounding the housing, etc.

I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help.

  3. i get 160F basking spot for my savannah monitor easy with a 44 watt halogen flood.i just raise the basking area towards the light (about 8" away) and run it threw a rheostat to fine tune the temps. here is a pick http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r220/...
