What way should i box this guy?

Im about to box this on guy that is about 2 inch shorter then me. From my friends info they said hes the type of guy that waits for the right time then rushes the opponent then punches and doesnt stop punching he tries to push you back while punching also,well thats his strategy. So what should i do where should i hit? Should i take the first hit first or wait for him?

wait for him. then when he hits look for a opening then hit him... or you can hit him after he hits you because since hes shorter than you, you can hit him at the face which would be eaiser since he just keeps hitting. OR you can try to get a distance from him. For example you can keep jabbing so he stays a distance from you or when he comes at you try to hold him and get to the center or hold him until refe says something. Good luck with the fight...

if ur taller than him use that to ur advantage. its all bout timing here. when he starts to rush in, hit him with a hard straight right. if he just constantly throws punches he probably isnt worried about protectin himself and this should surprise him. use that to ur advantage. follow the right with a left hook. then step back and wait for him to come again. keep him on the outside with ur longer reach with jabs. follow them up with straight rights. dont let him use his close up strategy. he wont b able to land hard punches, and u can work combinations from the outside to drop him.

Be patient.  There are two major vulnerabilities of a fighter who rushes in: 1) he'll tire out very quickly and 2) he leaves himself WIDE open to be hit.

Footwork is going to be important.  When he rushes in, cover up and step around him.  He'll probably have his head down and be flailing his arms away.  So he won't notice as your sidestep to your right and circle around him.  That way you can tee off on him and he'll be at a horrible angle to punch you.  Just keep repeating that.  Step to the side and punch.  

If he gets you cornered, cover up and try to time his shots.  One perfectly placed punch is better than 10 crappy, flailing ones that miss.

Any idiot that tells you to wait doesn't know jack about boxing!! Work behind a solid left jab and keep it going, your right hand will automatically fire when the time is right. Best is double your jab and follow with a straight right and back on a left hook and an over hand right.

Your reach is everything so use it effectively. Watch the Douglas vs Tyson fight and see how Tyson was disected with a good jab. If he comes in straight off the bat, tie him up, don't let him get inside

Most importantly eat it, sleep it, c**p it, dream it and then you will succeed in it. You worry about this clown and you will get nailed! Back yourself and believe!

with this guy u need to keep your distance and use your reach with your longer arms you need to stay in the middle of the ring.  to stop him from throughing alot of punches is to bang to the body in the early rounds later in the fight he will feel it.  and lastly the best punches to use when you r trying you use your reach advantage are straights and jabs

You should stick and move. Its hard for guys to rush you and throw a lot of shots if the target is constantly moving. Also use angles and counters make him pay when he misses.
