Interesting answers. If you collect books, just to collect them you are a bibliomaniac. Just thought some one should know that, because there are people like that out there in the world. At least according to John Dunning in his Cliff Janeway ' Bookman ' series.

A Bibliophile.

I personally did not hear of the word until I read Eragon and Sherlock Holmes.

They are often called collectors.

They are sometimes called bookworms which I find is an oxymoron seeing how most collectors take very good care of their books and go to extremes to protect them from things such as bookworms.

but yes if you want to be accurate, a bibliophile is the correct term.
