What weapons do Bail Enforcement Agents (Bounty Hunters) carry in California?

Other than mace. Do they carry shotguns if they are under 21 years of age?

  1. They are allowed to carry firearms just as long as they have permits.  This includes pistols, shotguns, and rifles.  They are not allowed to carry automatic firearms or anything that a civilian would not be permitted to carry.  Also, keep in mind that if they use their firearm in the course of their job and anyone other then the bailee gets harmed, they will be held criminally liable.
