  1. Go to Yahoo Finance, click on investments, type in the call letters of the stock you are researching, then, on the left side of the page, click on the area under "ownership" that interest you.  The three catagories are major holders, insider transactions, and insider roster.

Personally, I am an immense fan of John Fredriksen, the CEO of Frontline Ltd, the worlds largest oil tanker company.  He also owns Golden Ocean Group, a dry shipper, Deep Sea Supply, which provides supplies to deep sea rigs around the world, and Seadrill, the fourth largest deep sea drilling company, which holds the newest group of deep sea drillers in the world.  He also owns a multitude of non-traded companies, and is a share holder in many other well known companies of a similar nature, many of which he makes bids to buy or merge with his own companies.  The most unique aspect of this CEO is his respect and consideration for the shareholders.  Not only does he see that they are provided with extremely large and generous dividends, but he often gives us shares of other companies that he owns, like Ship Finance Company.

To read more about John Fredriksen, google his name and/or go to

Make sure that you have all of the address, as not all seems to appear as the hyperlink.  I am referencing a June 1, 2008 article "Best Time Since the  Vikings".

  3. www.marketwatch.com

Simply enter the ticker symbol into the upper right search field.  Click on "Insider Actions" and it will have all the info there.
