See if you can locate the Mavis Beacon 13 or up program. It's a great program. I increased my words per minute from a weak 13 to an amazing 59 in two WEEKS

Go to FreeTypingGame.net.  It's a great site for beginners, and for someone who wants to keep their typing up to speed.  

They have lessons, games, and tests.  Do the lessons until you think you've got it down.  Practice by playing the games.  Take a test when you want to see how many words per minute you can type.

I agree, Mavis Beacon is the way to go..it's usually pretty cheap and you don't have to put up with ads to buy software

or you could just type a bunch of my homework papers...the next one I have due is going to be in excess of 60 pages due on Dec 9...you'll be a hellafied typist by then
