What website determines the value of a VW?

My daughter's grandma has a 1974 VW Beetle in pretty good condition with only 87,000 original miles. She wants to sell it but doesn't know how much it is worth. Thanks for any help!

But's that's kind of really old.  So it might be - what ever you can wheel and deal.

Kelley Blue Book only goes back to 1988. I checked http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/ and found a ton of 1974 Beetles, ranging in price from $400 to $6,000. Photos or a detailed description would help me provide a more accurate value, but $3,000 would probably be a fair price. Send me an e-mail if you need anything else.
