i second the punto a punto site.  my boyfriend uses it frequently and has told me it works very well.

Mapquest does not work in Mexico and neither does Googlemaps...they do not have the road info for Mexico.  I LIVE in Mexico and have repeatedly tried mapquest and Google...maybe one day they will work, but not yet.  I find  LIVE SEARCH works well.  See 1st website below.  Also, there is one in Spanish, operated by the Mexican gov't called Punto a Punto.  See second website.  Now...you need to know, that even these sites are not perfect.  Sometimes they recommend a route that  I know frm personal experience is not the BEST route. Sometimes the highways they show are the shortest way, but are horrid roads. So, if you can talk to someone with experience driving in the region you are going to, that is very helpful too.

It rocks!!! by far one of the best maps EVER!!! you can do many things with it, just play w/ it!!! Trust me, you'll love it!
