I played in a FFL for the first time last year and loved it. But I played exclusively on Yahoo!. I would like to try playing in an auction league or even starting a keeper league with my friends. What sites are the best / most user friendly hosts for fantasy football leagues, and what makes them better than their competitors?

  1. ESPN. It's a lot better than Yahoo.

  2. ESPN have some great leagues. They are very user-friendly and most of the players are into the league and stay with the league the whole season. Plus, free stats, something Yahoo isnt used to!

  3. CBS Fantasy is another good option to consider.

  4. Dude I have played them all.  CBS is alright, it never seems to mess up, but if youre playing for money then they take a huge rake of the cash.  But it is cool that you can post pictures onto the league pages.  Id do some photoshop action and then post pictures of my friends...

Yahoo is decent.  Sometimes their draft window would mess up on me and I dont think they give any prizes away.  Maybe some stupid bobblehead or something.

I hate ESPN.  The first year I played there they were swamped by so many people that the site was down all day the first sunday of the season.  And their prize for the winner?  A t-shirt.  You heard me right, a stinkin t-shirt.

This year I went snooping around the internet and found this website called http://www.AnyGivenSeason.com  Im going to play on it, along with some others.  You can start any lineup you want, every week.  Then the team with the most points at the end of the season wins, so you dont play head to head.  It says on the site that most people like to play it in addition to their draft based leagues and you can win a ton of cash if you pay to play.  Even weekly prizes and some bonus to where if you start the perfect lineup then you win an extra 1000 dollars.  If you want to play for free you can win a Tom Brady autographed football.  Check it out, Im team cowboys.

I started playing FF 3 years ago and Im hooked too dude.  Just wait, you'll next start playing basketball, baseball, curling....

  5. the best places to play are NFL.com and ESPN.com

  6. I like CBS and now that I checked out Any Given Season, I like that one too.

  7. I play on ESPN, Yahoo, CBS, NFL (same as CBS), AOL, and Fox. My favorites are the Yahoo and ESPN leagues. They're the best two because they're reliable and offer a lot of flexibility. CBS/NFL is pretty good too - especially if you're not in an automated draft league. I'm in a couple of leagues with other people widely distributed across the world, so we do autodrafts in those leagues - I don't like the way the draft works. Fox has some nice features, but there are still way too many problems both with drafts and during the season.
