    For email, yahoo mail and gmail are both great.

    If you're a sports fan, espn.com and cnnsi.com are the best.

    If you like silliness, theonion.com is fantastic.

    Youtube and google video are the best sites for videos.

    For activities in your community check out craigslist.org and meetup.com. Craigslist is great for many other things as well.
