What weight boxing glove is used in competition?

Boxers over 152 lbs use 12oz gloves.

depend on the competition. each one is different. it can be as low as 10 ounces up to 18 ounces. last fight I was in I believe we used 16 ounce gloves. most amateur boxing will probably use between 14 to 16 ounce gloves

so far these answers are all wrong.

in almost every state commission, pros below 147lbs (welterweight) use 8 oz gloves.  everything above that use 10 oz gloves.  Heavyweights use 12oz. gloves.
