OK, im nearly 16 and when I leave ischool, if I have good enough state results, I want to get a scholorship in the Air Force as a pilot.

But one of my firends recently tried to join the Australian Army but he was turned away because he was 'too light'

So as an Air Force pilot, what weight do you have to be. Im nearly 16 now and aroung 55kgs. That is slightly underweight but I am very healthy and very fit. So is my mate who is 18 and around 55-60kgs.

if you know then please answer!!!!

oh, and if I do get that, then where do they train their pilots (which city would I be based in at first??)

thanks.

  1. All Air Force recruitment is handled by Defence Force Recruiting. You can visit their comprehensive website

    http://www.defencejobs.gov.au/airForce/

    or call them on 13 19 01.

There are different bases depending on what kind of training you're doing at the moment.

Officers' Training School is at RAAF Base East Sale

    and

Airmen and airwomen attend the Number 1 Recruit Training Unit at RAAF Base Wagga
