What weight should I go to?

Im 12... my height is 5'10". Weight is 170.. what should I drop to.? When I start fighting?

  1. Either bulk up just a little and fight as a light heavyweight at 175 lbs or drop down to Super Middleweight at 168 or middleweight at 160 lbs.

  3. Assuming your not a blob of fat, I'd say middleweight, 160, or junior middleweight 154. I wouldn't recommend light-heavyweight, as I am not sure how good of shape your in and you'd probably have to lose weight anyway to get into tip-top boxing condition. Most junior middleweights and some middleweights have a walking-around weight of about 170.

  4. Go with the lighter weight.  160 would give you a little more quickness without a great loss of power.
